The Famous Manly to Spit Walk - Sunday 26th October
This is our most popular walk of the year; it is a 9.5km walk which starts at Manly wharf. It would have to be Sydney's best kept secret! We will walk around the shoreline, past Fairlight Beach, North Harbour Reserve, Reef Beach and onto Clontarf Beach. You will see spectacular views and beautiful beaches and remnants of Aboriginal and Early Settlers history. We will stop at Clontarf Beach and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch.
WHEN: Sunday 26th October 2008
Meet at 11:00am.
Finishes approximately 4:00pm.
MEETING POINT: Meet at Manly Wharf at 11:00 sharp.

TRANSPORT: There are a few options to get you to the start of this walk.
Driving: Drive by car & meet us at Manly Wharf- paid parking available at the Wharf or Whistler Street Car park.
Public transport: Catch the ferry or bus to Manly. Visit www.131500.com.au for more details.

PAY ON THE DAY: For those who choose to pay on the day at the walk, you will need to email us with your intention to attend, as this is a catered event and we need to ensure we have ample food. Simply click on the link below to advise us you are attending. Please mention ''Manly to Spit Walk' in the subject line and include the number of people in your group. Please be aware this event may sell out, so we recommend guaranteeing your place by pre-paying.

WHAT TO BRING: We suggest bringing a backpack to carry all your personal items. You may like to bring a camera to capture the amazing scenery you'll experience along the way. To ensure you keep well hydrated, please bring at least 1.5 litres of drinking water (on extremely hot days double this amount). We also recommend a hat and sunscreen and if you want to have a swim afterwards at Clontarf Beach, bring your swimming costume and a light weight towel.
WHAT TO WEAR: Please wear comfortable clothes, hat and enclosed walking shoes. Wear clothes to maintain a comfortable body temperature, we suggest not wearing jeans as you may overheat. High heeled shoes, thongs, sandals or skimpy shoes should not be used. Bring your swimmers
FITNESS LEVEL: BUSHWALK GRADE: Easy to Medium
Opportunity for large number of visitor, including those with reduced walking ability to bushwalk on well marked and even tracks.
